Our Situation and Environment

Caldicotes Primary School in Middlesbrough, (N.E. England) was opened in 1951. The catchment area has a high level of socio-economic deprivation and it also has one of the highest levels of unemployment in the country.

We are part of an Education Action Zone which acknowledges the need for relationships with local businesses and which has generated a number of targetted projects within the school.

Our Nursery takes in 26 children in the morning and a further 26 in the afternoon and children are accepted from the age of three. They are taught by one teacher and a Nursery Nurse.
